The 60th Annual Miss Fire Island Pageant "There's No Place Like Home"

Eligibility

1. MISS FIRE ISLAND

Judging is based on the choice of apparel, style, makeup, hair, charm, walk, overall look & incorporation of theme in three categories:

(A)  Day Wear: Casual, sporty, or cocktail chic: anything appropriate to Fire Island that is knee-length or shorter. Hats permitted.

(B) Evening Gown: Must be floor-length and formal/haute couture. Headdresses are not permitted.

NEW! (C) Q&A: Contestants will be provided a list of potential pageant style questions to prepare responses to. Questions will be pulled at random from the provided list of questions by the hosts for each contestant to respond to.
^Contestants will deliver their responses in their Evening Gown looks following their runway presentation.

*All ages and body types encouraged.

2. ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR

Professional entertainers who perform one piece lasting no longer than five (5) minutes.
Judging is based on entertainment value, showmanship, costume & incorporation of theme. 
All genders encouraged to enter!

3. ALL STAR

Any contestant that has previously won MFI, MS. and/ or EOY. Judging is based on the choice of apparel, style, makeup, hair, charm, walk, and overall look in three categories:

(A)  Day Wear: Casual, sporty, or cocktail chic: anything appropriate to Fire Island that is knee-length or shorter. Hats permitted.

(B) Evening Gown: Must be floor-length and formal/haute couture. Headdresses are not permitted.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

• All contestants must arrive by 11:00am on the morning of the Pageant – Saturday, September 12th, 2025. Late attendees will be disqualified. Check-in with the contestant coordinators will take place between 11:00am and 12:00pm at The Ice Palace. Makeup stations will be assigned upon arrival.
• Only one (1) assistant per contestant can enter the contestant makeup stations due to spatial limitations.
• Prize money for all categories is awarded via check after the Coronation on Saturday, September 12th, 2025 at 10:00 P.M.
• *W-9 forms will be collected upon receipt of check payment.
• All Entertainer of the Year Contestants must send tracks in MP3 format to info@icepalace.club (drive link acceptable) no later than Thursday, September 10th, 2025, at 8pm. NO CELL PHONES, CDs, or USBs WILL BE ACCEPTED AS A MEDIA SOURCE. Track submissions will be monitored in advance to detect any duplicates. Song selections are honored first submitted, first served.
• You will have an opportunity to rehearse your number and have a sound check (time will be given at check-in). If two professionals choose the same music, the contestant whose entry is received first has the right to use it; the second entrant must select new material.
• Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol, whose conduct undermines the quality and integrity of this contest, or who is late for any rehearsal, check-in, contestant meeting, or stage time will be disqualified and removed from the premises. The management reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone for any reason.
• The judges’ decisions are final. They are independent of The Ice Palace and are impartial. Contestants’ names are drawn at random to determine their contestant number. The coordinators of this contest reserve the right to make all decisions about the rules and regulations of the pageant.
• All contestants are invited to attend the Coronation directly following the Pageant. We invite past Legends to participate in the final walk.
• Contestants may not perform or entertain at any other club or venue during the Miss Fire Island weekend, Saturday, August 30th through Sunday, August 31.
• 2025 Winners of Miss Fire Island, Ms. Fire Island, and Entertainer of the Year are provided shared accommodations at The Grove Hotel for the evening before the Pageant (Friday evening) so they may comfortably participate in their Step Down. Additionally, any All Star competitor will be provided shared accommodations the Friday night before the competition. The Winners of any 2026 category (including Miss Fire Island, Ms. Fire Island, Entertainer of the Year, All Star, Miss Cherry Grove, and Miss Ice Palace) will be provided shared accommodations at The Grove Hotel for the night they win the pageant (Saturday evening.)
